The Capehart 400 series was what most people thought of when they heard the name Capehart, as these were the premier instruments offered by the company. Capehart 400s were offered beginning in 1931 and continued until the popularity of the LP record made a turn-over turntable unnecessary. The Capehart 400 cost between $1000 and $1700 when new.
