Victor C

The Type C Victor was one of the initial models from the Victor Talking Machine Company. It was introduced in 1901 by Eldridge Johnson, the same year he incorporated the Victor Talking Machine Company. This machine is the first style of Victor which has the crank exiting the side of the case. Earlier machines had the crank facing up, and playing records larger than 7 inches required that the crank be removed. The advantage of the new design was that the machine could be wound while playing. The original price of the type C Victor was $25.
