Victor Orthophonic Victrola-Radiola Borgia I The Borgia I was one of Victor's first radio-phonograph combinations and contained an RCA Radiola 28 battery operated radio. Victor obtained these radio chassis from RCA and was one of only two companies that were licensed to use the RCA products in their own equipment. This set was introduced at the end of 1925, although shipment did not begin until the following year. The Bogia I cost $675 when new, and was probably the best battery-operated radio available at the time, due to the pairing of the top RCA chassis with Victor's largest horn speaker. |
