Columbia Period Grafonola

Model P-9 Chinese Chippendale

Columbia Period style Grafonolas were made for only four years beginning in 1917. They were expensive when new, and are scarce today. The P-9 Chinese Chippendale Grafonola cost $700 new. The P-9 was decorated with very nicely painted Chinese decorations. Most of the machines, including this example, were furnished with an electric turntable motor.
